Permanent Position: Director of Schools (FOS #6) - Central Region

NLSchools is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Director of Schools Central Region (FOS #6).

Reporting directly to the Senior Management Official - School Systems, you will lead a family of schools in providing top-notch education and fostering student success. As part of a provincial team of ten Directors of Schools, you will be accountable for overseeing the effective and efficient provincial implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the full range of educational programs, services and practices that enhance the learning for students.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of School Leadership and Instruction for the assigned family of schools.

• Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of educational programs and services.

• Provide leadership and support to school administrators, fostering an environment conducive to student success.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement NLSchools plans, policies, and practices.

• Lead initiatives to improve teaching and learning, school development, and performance appraisal processes.

• Develop annual staffing plans and ensure schools are appropriately programmed to meet the needs of all students.

• Support school-based professional learning and development.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in leadership within a public school setting.

• Ability to identify and solve operational and educational issues using a systems approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Supervisory experience, with demonstrated success in team-building and problem-solving.

• Ability to manage daily program delivery while maintaining a focus on long-term goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Education

• Significant experience in K-12 education

• Demonstrates leadership experience at a school or NLSchools regional level.

• Remuneration will be in accordance with Government's Management Pay Plan at HL-28.
