The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District is extremely proud to announce that three of our administrators have been named as Canada's Outstanding Principals for 2016 by The Learning Partnership. These educators demonstrate innovation, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and are creative in finding solutions and opportunities. The District congratulates:
Cindy Barker - Stephenville Elementary School (Stephenville)
Denise Francis - St. James Elementary School (Port aux Basques)
Kimberly Leonard - Mary Queen of Peace School (St. John's)
These exemplary leaders come from every province and territory in the country and the District is certainly thrilled to join with The Learning Partnership to applaud them on their amazing work with both students and staff - we are honoured to count these educators among the best in the country.
All three will attend the Executive Leadership Training Program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management February 21 - 25 and will receive their awards at the 12th annual Canada's Outstanding Principals gala on February 23, 2016, in Toronto.
