As part of a continued effort to ensure a safe and caring learning environment for all students in the region, King Academy's Peer Helper group, along with the guidance counsellor, took time out from their Easter Break to put a new look on their lockers. Painting the lockers with the rainbow pride colours to support the LGBTQ community is a Safe and Caring Schools project funded through a Department of Education and Early Childhood Development grant provided earlier this year. Students had fun with the project and felt that the colours, even without words, will make a meaningful impact with those discovering their identity.
