French immersion students across Canada were invited to create a video demonstrating their French immersion learning experience based on the theme Mon inspiration francophone. This contest was organized by the Association canadienne des professionels de l’immersion (a Canadian association of French immersion professionals). The ninety second video clips were evaluated based on the students’ oral communication skills in French, originality, and creative use of technology.

Jakiera Rideout, a Level III early French immersion student at Holy Spirit High School, successfully placed third in this national competition. Third place winners receive a $4000.00 scholarship to attend the University of Ottawa.
