Through inquiry, students made daily progress drawings of what they saw happening with their eggs (Photo credit: Twitter @Baker1973Cathy)
Students in Cathy Baker's Kindergarten class at Holy Cross School in Eastport waited... and waited... and today (June 20th), just days before summer vacation, their patience and care were finally rewarded. A baby duckling finally hatched from their incubator, much to the awe and excitement of students.
Last month, an incubator was set up and eggs were introduced so the children could work on project-based, play-based learning. Ms. Baker says the results among students have been extremely positive and responsive.
