Student meet Mr. Masters with signs to encourage him on the last leg of his journey! (photo credit: Lisa Keating)
In observance of World Mental Health Day on October 11, the principal of Christ the King School in Rushoon undertook a special initiative in an effort to ensure students understood the important link between physical and mental health. Mr. Lee Masters walked 50 kilometers from his home to the school to help draw the connection for the young members of his community. Walking has been a great motivator for Masters in recent months, as he has been on his own journey to physical health and he was pleased to have students join him on the last kilometer of the treck!
Congratulations Mr. Masters - the District and your students are very proud of your efforts!
