Students and staff at Copper Rodge Academy in Baie Verte surpassed their own goal for their first ever school-organized Terry Fox Run. The school had set a goal of raising $1,000 for the cause but quickly rose above expectations. In the end, their students more than doubled their goal, much to the excitement of students and staff alike!
Student who were successful in raising the most funds had the opportunity to dunk a teacher of their choice in the dunk tank - a feat surely desired by many students throughout the province! With this event, Copper Ridge Academy joined the ranks of numerous schools throughout Newfoundland and Labrador who regularly and routinely get involved in fundraising efforts for the Terry Fox Foundation and those involved say that this may have been their first event, but it certainly won't be their last!
