Congratulations to the band students from Octagon Pond Elementary, Holy Family Elementary, Upper Gullies Elementary and St. Edward's Elementary who all came togetherto play at the AHL Ice Caps' Game at Mile One on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Approximately 120 students aged 10 and 11 year old opened the game by performing both the national anthems of both the United States and Canada.

Throughout intermission, they also rocked out Mile One by performing some ‘rock anthems’ such as Old Time Rock and Roll, Louie Louie, Smoke on the Water, Party Rock Anthem. The students also energized and entertained fans by playing familiar hockey tunes like those typically heard in professional NHL games to spur the caps to a 7-1 victory over their opponents. Congratulations to all participants and their families.
