Students and staff from Avalon West came together the first weekend in March to showcase their dramatic prowess as the Town of Carbonear played host to the 2018 Regional Theatre Arts Festival at the Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre. Liam Dawson hosted the 3-day event, while well known Newfoundland actor and ArtisticFraud producer Patrick Foran was the visiting adjudicator, infusing the young thespians with comedy, advice and accolades. By all accounts, it was a fun-filled, educational weekend, with numerous workshops in staging, percussion, dance and other aspects of the dramatic arts.
