Mr. Terry Hall meeting with District staff in 2019
The Integration Board of the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District has appointed Terry Hall to the position of CEO/Superintendent (Interim). The appointment takes effect Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
Mr. Hall has worked with the District since 2015 as Assistant Director of Education (Corporate Services) and Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for finance, student transportation, facilities, procurement and information technology. Prior to joining the education sector, Mr. Hall held senior positions with Bell Aliant and xwave solutions.
As the integration of the District into government continues, Mr. Hall’s background and experience make him uniquely qualified for the position at this time.
Mr. Hall has been involved in many aspects of the integration process, has extensive corporate knowledge of the District, and is keenly positioned to help move forward at this particular phase of the integration process.
Mr. Hall’s appointment comes as Tony Stack retires today from the position of CEO/ Superintendent after a 37 year career as a teacher and educational leader in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Board welcomes Mr. Hall to this interim position and extends sincere appreciation to Tony Stack for his guidance and leadership, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic when he played a key role in helping lead schools through unprecedented times. The Board wishes him all the best in his retirement.
