The District has compiled an information booklet which contains details of the proposed catchment scenarios and also information about the impacted schools. Members of the school community are encouraged to review the information booklet and then provide feedback to the District.

The following motions were passed by the Board of Trustees on April 4, 2017:

WHEREAS the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District is committed to providing the best possible educational programs for students; and

WHEREAS a new Grade K-7 school is scheduled to be completed in Conception Bay Centre in Zone 17 for the 2017-2018 school year and reorganization of schooling is required to achieve that objective,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that:

Both St. Edward's Elementary catchment area and the Upper Gullies Elementary catchment area be reduced by implementing the new catchments as depicted in Scenario A in the District Information Package and assigned to the New Kindergarten to Grade 7 school's catchment area.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:

The New school will be constituted as a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school for the the 2017-2018 school year and thereafter a Kindergarten to Grade 7 school.
