Scholarship Policy/Application
The 2024-2025 Newfoundland and Labrador Education Foundation (NLEF) Scholarships will be open to
all graduating students from NLSchools who intend to continue their education upon graduating from
Level III.
There will be up to 40 scholarships of $1,250 each available to students graduating from NLSchools across Newfoundland and Labrador. The review committee will attempt to ensure appropriate geographic distribution wherever possible. These Scholarships are not intended to be solely based on academic merit.
It is the NLEF''s intention to award these Scholarships on a 50/50 breakdown between those students enrolled in university and those enrolled in a recognized public or private college, training centre, or trades college dependent upon the nature and number of applications received.
As these Scholarships are made possible by staff contributions, NLSchools reserves the right to allow for a percentage of these scholarships (up to 25 per cent) to be allocated to students of parents/guardians of a current NLSchools staff member who contributes to the NLEducation Foundation.
