Templeton Academy is named for and dedicated to the memory of Rev. Gordon S. Templeton. Rev. Templeton served as an Anglican Rector of the Parish of the Bay of Islands from 1934-1949. The school services the communities of Hughes Brook, Irishtown, Summerside, Meadows, Gillams, McIvers, and Cox?s Cove. Templeton Academy offers Kindergarten to Level III programming. In addition, Templeton Academy provides a pre-kindergarten program (KinderStart), participates in the International Student Program, and offers some high school courses through the Centre for Distance Learning and Innovation (CDLI).
